Coach Samaratunga brings an impressive resume' of playing and coaching experience to the Thunder Men's Soccer program which includes five years as a member of the University of Alberta Golden Bears Soccer team from 1999-2001 as well as most recently serving as coach of the Edmonton Drillers Youth soccer club as well as coaching positions with the Rangers Club and the Green and Gold Academy. Coach Samaratunga embodies dedication and love of the game which provide leadership and vision to the program and the long standing tradition of excellence that is Thunder Men's Soccer.

Coach Samadi joined the Concordia coaching staff in the fall of 2003. He is originally from Iran where he played for the youth U-18 national team and semi professional. His playing experience has also included the SAIT Trojans of the ACAC. After entering the coaching fraternity, his 19 years of coaching experience has included coaching with the St. Albert Impact, Raiders soccer club and Ross Sheppard high school as well as coaching TEAM EDMONTON in the Alberta Summer games to a silver medal. Coach Samadi currently has his Scottish license, UEFA license and is cerified with the Canadian Soccer Association.
