Coach Sir is entering his third season as Head Coach and brings over 17 years of coaching experience as well as an impressive playing resume to the Thunder bench. Playing college basketball in the United States as well as professionally in Europe Coach Sir continued to be involved in basketball after his playing career finished. His coaching accomplishments include serving as the Head Coach of the Edmonton Energy professional basketball team as well as leading the Thunder program to it's best ever regular season record in 2008-09 (21-3). The Thunder finished the year with an ACAC Silver Medal and Coach Sir was named the ACAC North Division Men's Coach of the year for the 2008-09 season. Coach Sir has also won 7 provincial basketball titles in Alberta and 1 State Championship in Minnesota as well as serving as an Assistant Coach with the 2005-06 Concordia Thunder bronze medal team. In addition to his numerous championships, Coach Sir has coached at a variety of levels from community basketball to University and Professional levels of the sport.
