Coach Sir entering his second season as Head Coach brings over 17 years of coaching experience as well as an impressive playing resume to the Thunder bench. Playing college basketball in the United States as well as professionally in Europe Coach Sir continued to be involved in basketball after his playing career finished. His coaching accomplishments include serving as the Head Coach of the Edmonton Energy professional basketball team as well as leading the Thunder program to it's best ever regular season record in 2008-09 (21-3) and finishing with an ACAC Silver Medal as well as being named the ACAC North Division Men's Coach of the year in the 2008-09 season. Coach Sir has also won 7 provincial basketball titles in Alberta and 1 State Championship in Minnesota as well as serving as an Assistant Coach with the 2005-06 Concordia Thunder bronze medal team. In addition to his numerous championships Coach Sir has coached at a variety of levels from community basketball, to University and Professional levels of the sport.
Todd Warnick

Coach Warnick brings extensive elite level coaching experience to the Thunder Men's Basketball program. Most recently Coach Warnick worked alongside Head Coach Paul Sir as a part of the Edmonton Energy Professional basketball team coaching staff as well as serving three seasons (2006-2009) as the Head Coach of the Thunder Women's Basketball program. During his time with the Women's program Coach Warnick was named ACAC Coach of the Year (2006-07) and led the Women's program to an ACAC Championship (2007-08) and an appearance at the CCAA National Championships. Prior to his time at Concordia Coach Warnick served five seasons as the Head Coach of the Vancouver Island University (formerly Malaspina) Men's Basketball Program where he guided the Mariners to a BCCAA Silver Medal and a CCAA National Bronze Medal in 2004-05. Coach Warnick is fully certified NCCP Level three coach in addition to his coaching duties he is the full time Athletics Coordinator for Concordia University College of Alberta.
